With a grant from the City of Long Beach under the Long Beach Recovery Act, Health Equity Community Programs, we invite you to our next Family Program event: Remember Me event on Saturday, June 8th from 4:00p.m.- 8:00 p.m. The free community event will take place at Long Beach Church, 3707 Atlantic Ave. Long Beach CA 90807. Plenty of free parking.
The event will focus on healing-centered engagement and offer games, tacos and churros, crafts and a New Hope Remember Me Ofrenda. Participants are encouraged to bring a 5″x 7″ picture of their person(s) to display and honor on the Ofrenda, there will be picture frames to decorate for your photos. The evening will end with a special showing of the Disney movie CoCo. This community event is designed for all types of individuals and families who have experienced the death of a loved one, and each family member is encouraged to attend.
