On Friday, June 7th at the Richard Nixon Library and Birth Place in Yorba Linda, CA New Hope was the featured charity for the 11th year at the Celebration of Women in Business Luncheon & Fashion Show. The theme was Caribbean Breeze, the event was put on by a wonderful group of women who are members of the Orange County chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), and their chapter is known as OCAHU. Years ago these powerhouse women, led by Suzanne Purnell, created Women In Business (WIB), they wanted a way to be philanthropic and give back to a worthy cause and charity. After a charity search, New Hope became their charity of choice.
New Hope is so grateful to this amazing group of women, who year after year use their time, treasure, touch, and talents to help us fulfill our mission. This year these amazing women beat their own record and fundraised over $32,000. All of the money raised will be used to provide 8-week grief support groups, family camps, and grief education and training. More importantly these funds will be used to bring hope into the lives of grieving families, and assure them they are not alone on their grief journey.
