How to Support Your Grieving Child After the Death of a Loved One
It’s not a surprise to learn that children grieve differently than adults. But still it is difficult for parents and caregivers to see the changes that may occur in mood and behavior when their children are grieving a loss.
The Parent Workshop: Ways to Support Grieving Children & Teens will give you a road map that will enable you provide the support your children need at this difficult time.
In this seminar you will learn :
- Healthy ways that children grieve,
- How to support your grieving child at home and at school, and
- How to know when extra help is needed and where to find it.
The workshop is a supportive environment where you will feel reassured, encouraged and have the opportunity to have your questions answered. The workshop facilitator is New Hope’s Clinical Director, Jen Leong, LMFT, CT. Since 2003, Jen has worked as a grief educator and specialist with grieving children and adults.
