A Local School Teacher + Mary Kay = Grief Support for Students

marykaywebIn June New Hope was contacted by a local School Teacher, Laura Tanner, from Colin Powell Academy (K-8) in North Long Beach.  She spoke with our Executive Director, David Leonard, and shared how difficult it had been to hear the stories of her grieving students and not have a resource to provide them with. David and Laura quickly became friends, and in the Fall New Hope will be partnering with Colin Powell to provide grieving students and their families with support. Although many volunteers make the programs possible, providing services for local schools comes with a cost.

To be able to provide services to Colin Powell Academy, Laura decided to take on a new business venture selling Mary Kay products—100% of her proceeds are donated back to New Hope!

New Hope is most grateful to Laura for her time and generosity.  Her amazing spirit and compassion to help grieving children make her a great addition to our New Hope family.  To purchase May Kay products from Laura in support of New Hope please visit www.marykay.com/ltanner83
