New Hope Kids Camp—the only camp of it’s kind in the nation—gives grieving
children the opportunity to begin healing in a safe, fun environment. Camps are
held at the Boy Scout USA camp location which is a 5-acre working camp in a peacful setting in Long Beach, CA. Camp attendees benefit
from the beautiful setting and positive experiences as they connect with the
New Hope staff and camp activities.
Kids Camp is a weekend experience for children 5- 12 who have suffered the death of someone special. Through small group sessions campers begin traveling their personal journey of grief leading to a place called "new normal".
Programs include small groups, art, games, and nature activities as well as our special Camp Mascot, "Winston".
Note: Our precious Saint Bernard,Winston lost his battle with kidney disease in February, 2008 and will be greatly missed!
