FIRST COMMUNITY SUPPORT CAMPAIGN HUGE SUCCESS!
With much excitement we launched our first Community Support Campaign, with a theme of Planting Seeds of Kindness Gathers Hope. On March 31st our six-week campaign kicked-off and we are so grateful to our Campaign Chairman, Mick Ukleja, and our thirty-two volunteer campaigners who worked so hard to share the New Hope story in the community. Volunteer Campaigners asked their friends, family, neighbors, colleagues (and even dentists) to join them in supporting our mission with a pledge of support. Our goal was to raise $50,000 in pledges.
On Monday, May 5, 2014 we all gathered at El Torito in Long Beach to celebrate our campaign success. With our volunteer campaigners, their families and friends of New Hope we made history. Not only do more people in the Greater Long Beach area now know about New Hope and have access to our services, but we exceeded our goal. Together we fundraised over $63,000 in pledges of support.
We are so thankful to the 350 donors that made a pledge of support to New Hope. At our victory celebration we recognized those campaigners, teams, and divisions that went above and beyond to reach their personal campaign goals. Our top and most inspirational campaigner awards went to Moe Simpson—she raised the most pledges exceeding $9,000 in memory of her husband Mike Simpson. The Todd Buchner Division was recognized as our top division, raising over $13,000 in pledges. We are so grateful to all of our volunteer campaigners who gave selflessly to make this campaign successful.
We look forward to next year’s Community Support Campaign as we tell more stories, raise more money, and most importantly touch more lives.
